Terms and Conditions
1. Booking
a. All bookings are made with Cairngorm Snowsports (hereafter known as CSS) which trades as The Ski School and The Snowboard School, and are not deemed to be a contract until payment is made.
b. The contract will be subject to these booking conditions which are governed by Scottish Law.
c. If booking is made by telephone or internet then it is understood that the customer has read and accepts these booking conditions, which are clearly displayed on the website and at our ticket office.
d. CSS reserves the right to change prices as necessary.
2. Cancellation by CSS
a. CSS reserves the right to cancel or modify the product being offered and if in advance, will offer either a full refund or transfer to another product or day.
b. If a lesson is more than half completed when it becomes necessary to stop then no refund will be payable.
c. CSS will not be liable for any loss, damage or expense resulting from unforeseen circumstances out with the control of CSS.
3. Cancellation by you
a. If the customer needs to cancel then CSS should be informed immediately by phoning us on 08455 191 191.
b. CSS reserves the right to charge (or not refund) the full fee per day for each person if cancellation is made within 48 hours of booked lesson.
4. Packages
a. CSS has no liability for the lift pass or equipment hire elements of a package. These elements are sold to the customer on behalf of Cairngorm Mountain Ltd and any disputes or complaints regarding these elements should be referred to them.
b. If a refund is due it will be based on the difference between what was ordered and what has been received (i.e. If only 1 day of a 2 day package is received then refund is difference between 1 day package and 2 day package).
5. Classes
a. CSS has a maximum class size of 10 for skiing and 8 for snowboarding. Occasionally due to unforeseen events this number may be exceeded as long as safety is not compromised.
b. CSS has a minimum class size of 4 for group lessons. If there are fewer than this in a class we will offer an alternative or a full refund.
c. CSS will endeavour to ensure that customers are in a class at a level that is appropriate to their ability. This may mean that they are in a different group from a partner or friend. If the customer specifically wishes to ski or snowboard with someone else then CSS will try to accommodate that request. In this event the selected group for both parties will be at the slower pace.
d. Published lesson durations include time for lift and funicular travel. At busy periods greater time may have to be spent in lift queues, and this is out with CSS's control.
e. During holiday periods there can be queues for equipment hire, so customers should ensure they arrive with plenty of time to get their equipment.
6. Safety
a. Whilst CSS takes all reasonable precautions to prevent accidents or injury, the customer acknowledges that these activities participated in carry a risk of accident and injury. Customers should ensure they are capable of taking part in a days physical activity.
b. It is the responsibility of customers to inform CSS of any medical conditions or medication being taken that may affect their performance.
c. CSS reserves the right to ask a customer to leave a course if their continued participation jeopardises the safety or enjoyment of other course members.
d. CSS reserves the right to ask a customer to leave a course if it is suspected they are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
e. It is the responsibility of customers to wear appropriate clothing for the lesson. CSS reserves the right to refuse to teach any customer who is not suitably dressed.
f. In the interests of safety customers must abide by the decisions of our instructors.
g. CSS is not liable for any loss, injury, accident or damage that may arise through the normal participation in activities. It is the responsibility of the individual to ensure they are adequately insured for the activities participated in.
7. Complaints
a. If a customer is dissatisfied with any aspect of the service delivered by CSS, this should be made known as soon as possible to The Ski and Snowboard School Manager so that all efforts can be made to resolve the problem immediately. If this is not possible then full details of the complaint should be sent to CSS within 14 days.
8. Use of Materials and Information
a. CSS reserves the right to use any photograph or video taken on Cairngorm Mountain, without obtaining further consent from a customer, for use exclusively in advertising or marketing materials of CSS and Cairngorm Mountain Ltd.
