Arrival Times
Please check in at the Ski and Snowboard office each day of you are having lessons:
Most of our lessons start from 9.30am but we advise you arrive at the times below to ensure you do not miss the start of your lesson. On busy days please allow extra time for parking and picking up tickets and equipment:

Clothing
It is advisable to bring your own warm/waterproof clothing (jacket & trousers) as although this can be hired out from the Ski Hire department during peak times there will be an extremely high demand and there will be no guarantee of availability. You will also need a warm/waterproof pair of gloves, a hat and a pair of goggles to protect you during adverse weather conditions however, the gloves and goggles can be hired from the Ski & Snowboard School office for £5 per item.
Denim jeans are not suitable to wear alone or under waterproof trousers as they do not provide adequate warmth or waterproofing.
General Information
Please be advised that there is no cash machine at Cairngorm Mountain and they also do not have cash back facilities however, you can pay on your credit/debit card within most departments so you should bring adequate funds with you if required.
The first facility that we have for providing food/drink at Cairngorm Mountain is the Cas Bar within the Day Lodge which is main building straight ahead of you at the top of the car park which provides hot/cold food and drinks and there is also an additional T-Bar within the Day Lodge where packed lunches can be eaten as well as food/drinks that have been purchased. The Ptarmigan Restaurant located at the top of the mountain within the Ptarmigan Building provides hot/cold food and drinks however, please note packed lunches are not to be eaten anywhere within this building.
Directions
The Ski and Snowboard School Office is on Level 3 of the Day Lodge Building. On arrival in the main car park, walk up the right hand side of the Day Lodge building following signs to The Ski and Snowboard School.
Cairngorm Mountain is approximately 9 miles from Aviemore (about a 20 minute drive) and the postcode is PH22 1RB.
Transport
There is a local bus (Number 34) that you can use from Aviemore centre to Cairngorm Mountain. Bus fares are paid cash only. Please note that there is no public bus service on a Sunday until January 2012. There are a number of taxi services that operate within Aviemore and there is a taxi rank behind the bus stop just beside Roo’s Leap Restaurant.
