The Ski School and The Snowboard School on CairnGorm Mountain

2 day ski and snowboard courses run on specific dates throughout the season. Book onto one of these and benefit from the reduced rates. These include 4 hours of instruction, hire of equipment and lift pass each day, and must be booked in advance.

All of these courses are available for adults and children from 8 years old. During the Christmas and Easter holidays we also run 2 day ski courses for kids aged 5 and over.

 We run a weekend ski and snowboard programme dedicated to children, which acts as a feeder to the performance programmes of Cairngorm Ski Club and Cairngorm Snowboard Club. It is aimed at children between the ages of 5 and 13 years old, and is subsidised by us and Cairngorm Mountain.

Race Training

We have a number of race coaches and ex-team members that can train individuals or groups as required, by arrangement when conditions suit. This can also be specifically geared to BASI speed test training.

The British Association of Snowsport Instructors (BASI) is the UK's national training and grading provider for professional snowsport Instructing and Coaching qualifications. They provide qualifications for 5 disciplines including Alpine (Skiing), Snowboarding, Telemarking, Nordic and Adaptive (for teaching those with disabilities).

We work closely with BASI to train and qualify our ski and snowboard instructors and can provide access to ski instructor courses during the season. We also provide training and shadowing opportunities for those trying to complete their qualifications.

This includes a season pass for Cairngorm Mountain, 2 weeks technical and teaching training, BASI membership, BASI Level 1 Instructor course, Child Protection and First Aid course, followed by 35+ hours shadowing. Ski Leader courses

The Ski Leader qualification (delivered by Snowsport Scotland, England and Wales) is the appropriate qualification for a school teacher leading a group of kids. We can deliver this course during the season. Phone for further information.
