Cairngorm is now closed for skiing and snowboarding. We have had a great season here on Cairngorm Mountain and would like to say big thank you to all our customers, instructors and anyone else we have worked with over the season!

Cairngorm Snowsports is a not-for-profit organisation that trades as The Ski School and The Snowboard School and is the only ski and snowboard school based on Cairngorm Mountain, at the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. In partnership with Cairngorm Mountain Ltd (the operating company of the ski area) we offer all levels of instruction and coaching, from getting beginners going and giving them the confidence to do it on their own, to freestyle and race training courses. Our instructors are carefully selected for their patience and teaching skills, but also for their passion for the sport, and their desire to pass this on to others! Our quality promise

In order to ensure we deliver the highest quality instruction to our customers we make the following commitments:
- We only employ qualified instructors

- We do not charge if lessons do not operate (due to snow and weather conditions)

- We operate with a maximum of 10 in a ski class and 8 in a snowboard class, as we feel this is a safe and professional maximum (however classes usually go out with less than this)
- We recognise that young children and adults learn in different ways, and therefore aim to operate separate adult and childrens group lessons (sometimes not possible when quiet)

In order to deliver the highest quality service we can we ensure that we exceed the high standards of teaching and customer service as laid down by the BASI Kitemark scheme, the only quality assurance scheme for ski and snowboard schools, and we are inspected on an annual basis to ensure this. We also meet the quality and environmental standards for use of the Cairngorms Brand and are associate members of Snowsport Scotland.

Volkl:This German equipment manufacturer produces the best performing ski and snowboard kit we have ever seen, and a majority of our instructors are on their kit. The equipment copes effectively with all the conditions we experience on Cairngorm.
